Run-Ride for Ragan Biathlon

Run Ride for Ragan logoSaturday, September 26, 2015
Kick-off at 8 a.m.
Start & Finish: Southeast Cancer Center
1 mile Honor/Memory Walk
5K run and 10K run

Run-Ride for Ragan, first held in 2012, as a biathlon (a 5K run and 17 mile bicycle ride), honors the late Ragan Ward Neilson, a Cape Girardeau native and the daughter of Dr. Robert and Barb Ward. Ragan died of breast cancer in October 2007 at the age of 32.

Putting the bicycle ride on hold for future consideration, the September 26, 2015 event will allow participants to choose between a 1 mile honor/memory walk, a 5K or a 10K run.  The funds raised will help aid in the fight against breast cancer through early detection and will benefit SoutheastHEALTH Foundation’s Cancer Patient Experience Fund that provides necessary support and resources for current cancer patients and those that cannot afford preventive screening.
