Advanced Surgical Techniques for Foot and Ankle
Our team of dedicated health care professionals is skilled in advanced surgical techniques for foot and ankle conditions. Arthroscopy, for example, is a minimally invasive procedure of the foot and ankle, performed when possible to ensure quick recovery. We perform many procedures on an outpatient basis, followed with an individualized rehabilitation program.
If you’re in need of treatment for chronic heel pain caused by plantar fasciitis, you may be a candidate for shockwave therapy. Shockwave therapy is noninvasive and quickly gets you back on your feet.
For accurate diagnosis and ongoing treatment of arthritic or painful joints, we prescribe localized injections of anesthetic or cortisone. To determine the best site for these injections, X-rays help to identify specific areas for treatment.
We offer patients on-site rehabilitative services with therapists, nurses and board-certified physiatrists with the majority of rehabilitation occurring in an outpatient setting.
Remember to inspect your feet every day if you have diabetes. Patients can receive diabetes education through the Southeast Diabetes Center, such as:
- Diabetes prevention
- Pedorthic management
- Orthotic management
- Salvage options
- Wound management
