Cancer Education

A Commitment to Education
Offering physicians and nurses on-going educational programs is an important facet of the Southeast Cancer Center's commitment to cancer treatment for the region.

Among these outstanding education opportunities is the Annual Cancer Symposium. Since 1985, the Cancer Symposium has afforded primary care physicians with the opportunity to learn about the most current trends in the diagnosis and treatment of many types of cancer.

The nurse's role in the diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer patients is the focus for the annual Cancer Update For Nurses. The one-day seminar is appropriate for hospital staff nurses, doctors' office staff, home health agency nurses, community nurses, discharge planners, hospice nurses and student nurses.
