Sweet babyWe at SoutheastHEALTH recognize that everyone has different preferences for learning. We offer choices for both online instruction and classroom instruction so you can choose what is best for you.

Online:  Childbirth Prep and Breastfeeding programs are available. You may sign up online through our website under classes. Or you can call 573-331-6190 to register.  You will be sent the books used for the class as well as the code to access the program.

Anesthesia (Epidural) class is also available online here.  Once on the site you will view a 12 minute video, enter your personal health history and then submit it. You will receive an email confirmation that it has been received and the health history will be placed in a folder with your information on OB, indicating that you have completed this online. This class is required by anesthesia for epidural use is labor.

Classroom Instruction:  On the third Saturday of every month we will have Childbirth Prep from 8:00am -12:00pm, followed by Breastfeeding and Infant Care from 1:00-3:00pm in the Harrison Room at Southeast Hospital. You may choose to attend one session, or make a day of it and do both. Register online at SEhealth.org, under classes, or call 573-331-6190. This class fills quickly, so call early to register.

Meet and Greet:  We invite you to come up for a tour of our unit and meet some of our staff.  At this time you can meet with the Nurse Navigator who will talk you through what to expect during your stay and discuss your personal goals for your special delivery.  You can also sign up for classes, talk to someone from anesthesia, and complete your preregistration at this time.
