Cancer center supports patients, families

We Can Support Group

Coping with cancer is difficult for both patients and families. Through informal discussion, group participants learn coping techniques for the emotional and physical problems that cancer often causes. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the third Thursday of the month at the Regional Cancer Center. For information, call Pastoral Care at 573-651-5519.

We Can Weekend

We Can Weekend

Each summer, families from all over the area gather at the beautiful Sunnen Center at the YMCA of the Ozarks, near Potosi, for We Can Weekend. It is a unique experience developed to meet some of the special concerns of families learning to cope with cancer.  We Can Weekend is a time of sharing, a time of touching the lives of others in a wonderful way. The program is co-sponsored by the Regional Cancer Center at Southeast Missouri Hospital and the American Cancer society Heartland Division, Inc.
