Through a partnership with Southeast Missouri Hospital, registered nurses and nurse practitioners provide health treatment including physical exams, laboratory services, immunizations and allergy shots, medical procedures, prescription services, special equipment needs (ice/hot packs, crutches); reproductive health issues and assessment and treatment of injuries for Southeast Missouri State University students, faculty and staff from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday when the University is in session.
After hours
Health services are provided through ERexpress at Southeast Missouri Hospital Emergency Room, charges will apply.
Billing
Southeast Missouri Hospital will bill insurance for students and faculty seen at the Campus Health Clinic. Students without insurance will be billed through their University student accounts.

- Registered nurses: provide walk-in health care for students, no appointment needed, $10 fee; may be paid at time of service or billed to student account.
- Family Nurse Practitioner: allergy shots, treatment for illnesses, infections, STDs, depression, sprains and strains, and well-woman exams (pap & pelvic exams).
- By appointment; charges may be billed to student’s health insurance and/or student’s university account.
- Laboratory services available, billed to student’s health insurance and/or student account.
- Over-the-counter medications available for purchase; may be paid for at the time of purchase or billed to the student account.
If a student is seen by a registered nurse and the symptoms require further treatment, the student will be informed that they have the option of being further evaluated by the nurse practitioner. If the student agrees, charges based on the Southeast Missouri Hospital Physician’s LLC. fee schedule will be billed to the student’s health insurance and/or student account.
