Early detection is your best protection

Here at Southeast Missouri Hospital’s Regional Cancer Center, we take a compassionate and comprehensive approach to your cancer treatment.  Being diagnosed with breast cancer is a life changing diagnosis and you want a team of compassionate and caring experts caring for you.

Breast cancer, if caught early, is a curable cancer. Thirty years ago a radical mastectomy was considered the only option for a patient diagnosed with breast cancer.  Today, however, there are many treatment options available and your treatment will depend on the type of breast cancer you have been diagnosed with.  In most cases a lumpectomy or a mastectomy is performed, followed by either radiation and/or chemotherapy/biotherapy to ensure all of the cancer cells are killed.

During your treatment, the following team of compassionate and well trained health care professionals will be taking care of you.
