Southeast Missouri Hospital

Southeast Missouri Hospital provides a Cancer Information Center on the first floor of the Regional Cancer Center.

Available are hundreds of free pamphlets about types of cancer, treatment options and support services.

Pamphlets are also placed in information racks throughout the Hospital. 

Cancer patients and their families are also encouraged to use the many information resources in the Hospital's Wellness Connection located in the West Park Mall. 

In addition to printed resources, video tapes are available for check-out. Helpful Wellness Connection personnel are available to assist individuals in gathering information via the Hospital's Internet access.

The nurse's role in the diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer patients is the focus for the annual Cancer Update For Nurses. The one-day seminar is appropriate for hospital staff nurses, doctors' office staff, home health agency nurses, community nurses, discharge planners, hospice nurses and student nurses.
