Nature’s Landing
Nestled into the Hospital hillside on the main campus, Nature’s Landing is designed to create a healing environment for our patients and aesthetically appealing, tranquil environment for everyone to enjoy nature and its beauty, year-round.
Elements of the project include 75 geese with varying wing patterns sculpted of weathering steel that over time develops a soft patina. The geese extend from Southeast Medical Plaza across the hillside and into nearby Capaha Park and its landmark lagoon. They will be complemented by 32 flowering cherry trees, native grasses and perennial landscaping with a quiet overlook for peaceful meditation for patients, visitors and employees. The overlook plaza will include a brick garden that donors may utilize to honor or memorialize family and friends.
The Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing & Health Sciences

Holding true to our mission of “responding to the healthcare educational needs of the region by preparing qualified healthcare professionals,” the College has added programs as shortages in healthcare fields have developed within our region. The College currently offers associate degree programs in nursing and radiography as well as certificate programs in medical technology/clinical laboratory science and surgical technology.
