Internal Auditor

Full time days

Develops an annual internal audit plan under the supervision of the compliance officer and performs and/or oversees specific audit functions at the direction of the compliance officer.

Provide collaborative support to the southeast missouri hospital association’s compliance plan, ranges from assisting in the development of the annual compliance audit plan to performing specific audit activities as specified in the annual audit plan; other functions include assisting the compliance officer in special financial or operations audit activities.

Minimum of a bachelors degree in accounting and has achieved the designation of certified public accountant; minimum of two years experience on the health care audit staff of a national or large regional accounting firm.

MRI Staff Tech

Full time nights

To perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging exams. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of the procedures; provides patient care.

Responsible for performing all MRI exam protocols set up at this facility to include neuro brain and spine, abdominal, musculoskeletal, MRA and spectroscopy; must be able to work independently using knowledge of MRI to adjust scan parameters as necessary on patient to patient basis to obtain quality images; vena-puncture experience is required, CPR certification required.

ARRT registered or registry eligible MRI technologist with one to two years experience or graduate of accredited MRI program. Experience on Siemens’ MRI equipment a plus but not absolutely necessary.

Manager

Part time days (60 hours bi weekly - temp)

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of the gift shop.

Works closely with auxiliary and volunteer services department to plan marketing strategies. Establishes gift shop policies and procedures; maintain and enhance positive image of gift shop to patients, visitors, and hospital staff; design and execute attractive merchandise displays. Plan and promote gift shop events and services inventory gift shop items, review and approve invoices for payment, supervise opening and closing for gift shop and other assigned duties.

High school graduate with merchandising/marketing experience or experience in supervision or management.

Financial Analyst

Full time days

Performs monthly analytical reviews of various physician groups, assists the controller with preparation of the monthly financial statement and assists with physician practice acquisition analysis as directed by the chief financial officer.

Provides analytical accounting support to the chief financial officer, the vice president of physician services and various physician practice managers and directors; assists the controller in recording entries into the accounting system to accurately reflect the transactions of the physician practice enterprise and prepare monthly financial statements.

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance and have achieved designation as a certified public accountant or a certified management accountant; minimum of 2 years experience working in accounting or financial management field; experience with medical billing and/or hospital accounting preferred; demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative manner with department managers and directors.

Clinical Documentation Specialist

Full time days (weekend rotation)

Responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation to support the medical necessity and level of services rendered to all patients.

Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Missouri or registered health information management professional or certified coding specialist with no less than 2 years clinical documentation improvement experience; 3-5 years critical care, medical and surgical acute care nursing experience; 2 years of ICD-9 coding experience.

BS or BSN preferred.

Insurance Secretary

Part time (.6 days)

Perform secretarial duties utilizing specific knowledge of medical terminology and hospital and clinic procedures.

Insurance, pre-certification and follow-up, reception duties, lots of telephone work and networking with insurance and nurse case managers.

High school graduate or equivalent; computer proficient, some previous insurance experience desired but not required, telephone etiquette, multi-tasking a must.

Billing Insurance/Secretary

Full time days

Responsible for coordinating work flow of billing insurance and other assigned duties in the specific clinic, on a daily basis, including patient scheduling.

Answer phones, schedule patients, prepare charts, gather information for charts and insurance billing and prepare communication to referring physicians and patients.

High school graduate or equivalent; prefer 2 years experience working in the medical field; prefer knowledge of insurance processing, ICD9-CPT coding experience, basic office practice skills; computer skills; good communication skills; professional appearance and attitude.

Controller

Full time days

Provide leadership in the ongoing development, implementation and overall management of physician servcies financial activities.

The controller's job ranges from leading and optimizing organizational fiscal and revenue cycle performance to participating in the development and execution in the physician services strategic plan within the context of the Southeast Missouri Hospital Association's strategic plan.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or financing and has achieved designation as a certified public accountant; must have either 10 years of relevant leadership experience in healthcare finance or a MBA or MHA plus 5 years of relevant leadership experience in healthcare finance.

Respiratory Therapist

Full time nights

Responsible of the safe administration of respiratory care services and procedures as ordered by physicians.

Respiratory therapy treatment modalities, rapid response, ventilator care, adult, pediatric, infants. ABG's and code blues: physician, student and nursing interactions.

CRT, RRT, REC with MO state license current.  Graduated from accredited RT program; must have current CPR, NRP status, ACLS program provide.

Part Time .5 Days

Provides care to inpatients onthe intensive care units, surgical, medical, psych and pediatric units as well as patients in the hospital inpatient rehab unit.

Responsible for patient assessment, treatment planning, goal setting and implementation of occupational therapy treatment programs onthe inpatient acute and rehab units.

Graduate of accredited university with a bachelors or masters degree in occupational therapy; current licensure as an occupational therapist in the state of Missouri.

Cytotechnologist Supervisor

Full time days

Detection of cancerous and precancerous cells and other pathological findings in gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens.

Responsible for accurate identification & detection of both nonmalignant & malignant cellular changes in various types of cytological preparations, as well as identification & diagnosis of various organisms and/or conditions associated with varied types of cytological specimens; responsible for day to day supervisor or oversight of the lab; must be knowledgeable of all cytology department procedures & equipment and be able to write and develop new procedures, as necessary, under the direction of the laboratory medical direction.

Graduate of accredited school of Cytotechnology (accredited by committee on allied health education & accreditation) or be certified by a certifying agency approved by DHHS (e.g. American Society of Clinical Pathologist-ASCP), minimum of 5 years experience, and proficiency in both gynecologic & non-gynecologic cytology disciplines.

Financial System IT Specialist

Oversee implementation and support of financial systems including time & attendance, A/P, B/AR, G/L, materials management, payroll, electronic billing, budgeting and productivity.

Serves as the chief contact between information systems and financial system users; responsible for system trouble shooting and software optimization; uses report writing tools to extract information as requested; works to integrate all financial systems

Bachelors degree required; minimum of 3 years experience supporting software; must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Hospitalist Office Coordinator

Full time days

Responsible for coordinating the hospitalist's work, billing, and office with superior people skills.

Have knowledge, comprehension and understanding of complex physician scheduling of 8-10 physicians and APRNs, make follow-up appointments for discharged patients; scheduling of monthly and quarterly hospitalist meetings and other committee meetings that hospitalists are involved in; make calls to remind them of their meetings. Good computer and informatics skills with ability to create letter correspondence, making forms and schedules; ability to take notes at staff meetings and summarize meeting discussion for meeting minute records, other duties as assigned.

High school graduate with two years of college preferred, business degree and healthcare background preferred with three years experience with basic computer skills including Word and Excel necessary including letter composition, organizational skills, etc. Knowledge of office process such as billing and an understanding of coding is a plus.

Chest Pain Center Coordinator

Provides leadership in the coordination of chest pain/cardiac care across the inpatient and outpatient. Continue on in the hospitals cardiovascular program related to best practice for cardiac patients.

3 years experience in care of ACS patients in acute care, emergency care, cath lab or progressive care. Understanding of Word, Excel and Access programs. Leadership experience and experience with data collection preferred.

Part time (.9 days)

Performs testing primarily in the sleep lab, occasional work in hospital patient care areas.

Performs sleep studies, titration of CPAP/BIPAP, scoring sleep studies, quality management, physician interaction; patient education.

Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program and registered polsomnographic experience; experience in the field of sleep diagnostics; membership in the AARC or APT required, CPR is mandatory; RPSGT certification preferred.
