MRI Staff Tech

Department: Radiology (MRI)

Duties:

To perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging exams. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of the procedures; provides patient care.

Responsible for performing all MRI exam protocols set up at this facility to include neuro brain and spine, abdominal, musculoskeletal, MRA and spectroscopy; must be able to work independently using knowledge of MRI to adjust scan parameters as necessary on patient to patient basis to obtain quality images; vena-puncture experience is required, CPR certification required.

Other:

ARRT registered or registry eligible MRI technologist with one to two years experience or graduate of accredited MRI program. Experience on Siemens’ MRI equipment a plus but not absolutely necessary.

Works closely with auxiliary and volunteer services department to plan marketing strategies. Financial Analyst

Performs monthly analytical reviews of various physician groups, assists the controller with preparation of the monthly financial statement and assists with physician practice acquisition analysis as directed by the chief financial officer.

Provides analytical accounting support to the chief financial officer, the vice president of physician services and various physician practice managers and directors; assists the controller in recording entries into the accounting system to accurately reflect the transactions of the physician practice enterprise and prepare monthly financial statements.

Responsible for accurate identification & detection of both nonmalignant & malignant cellular changes in various types of cytological preparations, as well as identification & diagnosis of various organisms and/or conditions associated with varied types of cytological specimens; responsible for day to day supervisor or oversight of the lab; must be knowledgeable of all cytology department procedures & equipment and be able to write and develop new procedures, as necessary, under the direction of the laboratory medical direction.

Have knowledge, comprehension and understanding of complex physician scheduling of 8-10 physicians and APRNs, make follow-up appointments for discharged patients; scheduling of monthly and quarterly hospitalist meetings and other committee meetings that hospitalists are involved in; make calls to remind them of their meetings.
