Southeast Missouri Hospital has redesigned its birthing center with family comfort and privacy in mind. The redesign of our Dennis B. Elrod, M.D., Obstetrics & Gynecology Center includes
- 21 new LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum) birthing suites (each with private restroom and shower facilities)
- a registration/reception area
- four triage rooms
- nursery with viewing areas and Level III NICU
- new staffing area
- two OR suites located on the OB area

Each LDRP suite features:
- Central fetal monitoring
- TV with VCR/DVD player
- Individual climate control
- Complimentary toiletries

- Special gift for mothers
- 3 guest meals a day
Anesthesia is available 24/7.
The department of OB has set a 2 (two) people limit to be present during the childbirth, unless it is a rare circumstance. |
