February 2010 Students of the Month
at Central Middle School

Southeast Missouri Hospital supports our Adopt A School, Central Middle School. Each Month, we participate in their Student of the Month ceremony, handing out special Orange Ribbons to the winners.

FEBRUARY 2010 FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Mrs. Bohnert salutes Hunter Neal

Hunter Neal is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Bohnert’s class. Hunter may be the most-improved student in fifth grade this year. Through hard work and diligence, he has made notable strides in reading. His written pieces are now often used as examples in class. On a recent, challenging science test, Hunter scored an "A." His work habits, respectful attitude, and choice to follow rules will continue to bring him success. Congratulations Hunter! It's great to have you in our class!

Mrs. Brown salutes Kim Spinks

Kim Spinks is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Brown’s class. Kim is a hard worker. She always completes her work and always puts forth her best effort. She is kind to others and very respectful to those in authority. Kim is a great asset to our class.

Mr. Brown salutes Alex Miller

Alex Miller is the Student of the Month for Mr. Brown’s class. Alex is a good role model for other students. He makes mature decisions, and doesn't allow peer pressure to have a negative impact on how he behaves. He brightens our class with a good sense of humor. I can always count on him to do neat and precise work. Alex is a great all around student and one of our best here at CMS.

Mrs. Hecht salutes Sarah Barker

Sarah Barker is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Hecht’s class. Sarah has been working very hard to make positive changes in her work habits. She has chosen to use her study hall and AR time wisely each day which helped her meet her AR goal for this quarter. Sarah participates in every lesson, turns in her work on time, and is very helpful in the classroom. I am proud to be her teacher. Keep up the great work, Sarah!

Mrs. Hunter salutes Caylin Jordan

Caylin Jordan is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Hunter’s class. Caylin is a great example of a PAW student! She is so hard working, and always on task. Caylin's classmates love her as I do because she is so sweet and polite. I am very lucky to have a student like Caylin in my class. Congratulations Caylin!!

Ms. Malone salutes Hunter Stroder

Hunter Stroder is the Student of the Month for Ms. Malone’s class. Hunter’s manners and pleasant disposition make him a joy to have in class. In addition to his wonderful personality, Hunter has excellent work habits. He’s never had a strike or a missing assignment. Keep up the fabulous work.

 

Mrs. McCarty salutes Emily Sechrest

Emily Sechrest is the Student of the Month for Mrs. McCarty’s class. I am so proud of Emily’s work ethics and study habits over the past several weeks. She has really made strides and shown a great deal of improvement. I am really proud of her! Thanks Emily for your hard work and keep it up!

Mrs. Nedilnycky salutes Philip Francis

Philip Francis is the Student of the Month for Ms. Nedilnycky’s class. Philip makes everyday exciting! His unique personality brings enthusiasm and laughter into the classroom. Philip works hard in class and turns in all assignments on time. Also, I love to hear him read aloud. I’m glad Philip is a part of my class this year!

Mrs. Nugent salutes Gabby Desrosiers

Gabby Desrosiers is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Nugent’s class. It is my privilege to have Gabby in class this year. Gabby is a very hard worker and is always willing to help out in the classroom. Gabby comes to school every day with a big smile on her face and makes everyone around her feel comfortable and happy. She is a joy to be around every day. Thank you, Gabby, for making it so easy to come to school!

Mrs. Radake salutes Amanda Stricker

Amanda Stricker is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Radake’s class. Amanda is another student that I feel like I often overlook because she is always doing what she is supposed to be doing. Although I would like to see Amanda talk a little bit more, she has come a long way since the beginning of the year. Keep up the great work Amanda!

Mrs. Wischmann salutes Jordan Collins

Jordan Collins is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Wischmann’s class. Jordan is an outstanding young lady who is always eager to learn. She is an excellent student who takes pride in her work and it shows. Jordan has awesome grades which include a 99% in math! I love listening to her stories and seeing her smiling face each day. Keep up your hard work, Jordan!!

Mrs. Deevers salutes Lauren Kimberly

Lauren Kimberly is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Deever’s class. Lauren is a very conscientious, responsible, and respectful student who always has a smile on her face. She follows directions the first time they are given, completes her work on time, and is always willing to help her fellow classmates. Thanks Lauren for being a shining example for all students of what a Peaceful, Accountable, and Well-behaved student looks like. It is truly a pleasure having you in my class. Congratulations and keep up the great work!

Mrs. Dugan salutes Joshua Thomas

Joshua Thomas is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Dugan’s class. He is a bright young man who loves to read, always puts forth his best effort in academics, and tops it off with terrific handwriting. Josh has a great sense of humor and is a big hit with all of his fellow classmates. Add to this his tremendous skills as an artist, he proves to be an all around – PAW - student. Keep up the good work, Josh!

Mrs. Jones salutes Brynna Bockhorst

Brynna Bockhorst is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Jones’ class. Brynna is a fun spirited young lady that always has a smile on her face. She is kind to everyone and works great with others. Let’s just say “she is a team player.” Brynna works hard in class completing all her assignments and assist other students when they need help. I will miss her spunk next year. Congratulations Brynna!!!!

Mrs. Newman salutes Kameelah England

Kameelah England is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Newman’s class. Bottom line, Kameelah is a great young lady! There is no other way to say it. She is a hard working student that gives her best at all times. She is a good friend to all that surround her. Kameelah just recently became a big sister and she is so proud of her new baby brother. Kameelah’s great attitude and superb personality makes her the best big sister, friend and student! Congratulations Kameelah!

Mrs. Parker salutes Daniel Pieper

Daniel Pieper is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Parker’s class. Daniel Pieper is my top pick this month. Daniel is a hard worker. When he is absent he makes up the work immediately. Daniel is also very polite. He is never disrespectful to me or his classmates. Daniel knows right from wrong and makes the best choices. I am lucky to have Daniel in my class.

Mrs. Shaffer salutes Madison Jackson

Madison Jackson is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Shaffer’s class. Madison is my all-around go-to girl: I always know I can count on her when I need help. She has done an excellent job organizing our classroom library, and she is always willing to help a classmate who needs assistance in Math. I am also very proud of Madison’s academic achievements: she has already met and surpassed her AR goal, and she has been working diligently to bring up her grades. Thank you for being such a hard-working student!

 

Mrs. Stevens salutes Megan Saylor

Megan Saylor is the Student of the Month fro Mrs. Stevens’ class. Megan is an outstanding young lady. She is very active in her school and community. Megan is a member of Shere Khan, the Care Club, and many other clubs. As well as being a good citizen, Megan maintains an A average every quarter. Megan not only strives to do her very best on everything, but she also helps others who are struggling. She is a very kind-hearted student and I am lucky to have her in my class. The Jr. High will be very fortunate to have Megan next year. I'm sure she will prove to be a leader throughout her school career. Congratulations, Megan!!!

Mrs. Valleroy salutes Megan Stafford

Megan Stafford is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Valleroy’s class. Megan was new to our school this year. She is a welcomed addition to my class. Megan is a great student who always makes the honor roll. She also enjoys reading and makes her AR goal with ease. She also has great study skills and her manners are outstanding. Megan is a good friend to all her peers and is a great role model for CMS. Way to go Megan. Keep up the great work.

Mrs. Wilson salutes Kendra Gosche

Kendra Gosche is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Wilson’s class. Kendra is student of the month for many reasons. She is a dependable student who can be counted on to make good decisions. She takes responsibility for her work and never has missing assignments or late work even when absent. She is friendly with her peers and respectful to her teachers. Kendra is a great example for others.

Mrs. Yates salutes Hisami Minakata

Hisami Minakata is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Yates’ class. Hisami’s kindness and excellent behavior is observed and appreciated by our class daily. She is on the honor roll, in ESL club, has made her AR goal and was chosen as a student leader for the year. Her bright smile and outlook on life will take her far in life! Congratulations on a job well done at CMS!!!!!!!!

Mrs. Young salutes Keely Ullman

Keely Ullman is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Young’s class. Keely is a charming young lady with a kind heart. She has really worked to step up her work and her work habits since first semester! Keely is one of my students who usually does not get a strike. She has a great head on her shoulders and does her work without disturbing others. Keely has a giving nature and offers her help to others when it is needed without being asked. I appreciate all the focus she has put into her daily work and behavior! You are just a bright shining star, Keely! Congratulations!
