May 2010 Students of the Month
at Central Middle School

Southeast Missouri Hospital supports our Adopt A School, Central Middle School. Each Month, we participate in their Student of the Month ceremony, handing out special Orange Ribbons to the winners.

MAY 2010 FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Mrs. Bohnert salutes Riley Murphy

Riley Murphy is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Bohnert’s class. I have had the honor of having Riley in my class for part of his 4th grade year, as well as this year, and I’ve never seen him show anything but respect and kindness toward others. Riley works hard, always giving school his best effort, and I know that he will always do the right thing, even when the teacher’s back is turned. Riley never complains or fusses and is considered a friend to many. He is especially close to his family. It has been a real pleasure to have such a respectable young man in our 5th grade class. I’ll miss you next year, Riley!

Mrs. Brown salutes Krista Farrar

Krista Farrar is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Brown’s class. Krista has an upbeat personality and always has a smile on her face. She is kind to others, follows the rules, and is respectful to adults. Krista always does her best work. She puts forth a lot of effort and strives to do better each time. During her free time, Krista always makes the right choice to read or work on an assignment. I have enjoyed having Krista in my class this year.

Mr. Brown salutes Logan Nunnally

Logan Nunnally is the Student of the Month for Mr. Brown’s class. Logan’s positive attitude and good work ethic have helped her achieve her goals this year. She is a very ambitious student who has often corrected her work for an improved grade. Logan has treated everyone in our class with respect. I have been blessed to have Logan in my classroom this year.

Mrs. Hecht salutes Marty McLeary

Marty McLeary is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Hecht’s class. Marty has made the most improvement in our classroom this year. There is a remarkable difference in his behavior from the beginning of the year until now. He is such a smart young man and has a wonderful sense of humor. His classmates have learned many valuable lessons from Marty this year. He made us smile and laugh everyday! Great job, Marty. We are all so proud of you!!!!

Mrs. Hunter salutes Keira Harvey

Keira Harvey is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Hunter’s class. Keira is a sweet, hard working girl. She did a really great job over the last several weeks doing her very best on all the assessments we have been taking. I am proud of her PAW behavior in my classroom and the building. Way to go Keira!!

Ms. Malone salutes Tyler Banks

Tyler Banks is the Student of the Month for Ms. Malone’s class. Ms. Malone is so proud of Tyler and is very pleased that he has proved himself worthy of student of the month. Tyler has shown so much academic social and personal improvement lately. Keep it up Tyler; you have what it takes to reach goals that you set for yourself!

 

Mrs. McCarty & Mrs. Helwege salutes Rhea Taylor

Rhea Taylor is the Student of the Month for Mrs. McCarty/Mrs. Helwege’s class. Rhea has been a great assistance since Mrs. McCarty’s leave. She always enters the classroom every morning with a smile on her face and is ready to start the day. Rhea follows directions the first time and is a great role model for her fellow peers. Thank you Rhea for all your help during the past few weeks. I will truly miss you!

Mrs. Nedilnycky salutes Katy Wikel

Katy Wikel is the Student of the Month for Ms. Nedilnycky’s class. Katy is extremely helpful in the classroom. She puts others ahead of herself. Katy is always eager and willing to help fellow classmates and myself. For example, she is usually the first one to ask me if she can collect papers or put down an absent student’s chair. I will miss Katy next year!

Mrs. Nugent salutes Nikkie Le

Nikkie Le is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Nugent’s class. Nikkie is a thoughtful young lady and a wonderful asset to our class. She is a very hard worker and is always willing to help out in the classroom. Meeting her AR goal is one of Nikkie’s top priorities. She works hard every quarter to make sure that her work is completed with perfection. Everyone at CMS can benefit from the example that Nikkie shows daily.

Mrs. Radake salutes Ki’Taylon Jackson

Ki’Taylon Jackson is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Radake’s class. When I look at my class this year and see who all has improved since the beginning of the year, this was an easy choice. I have nominated Ki’Taylon Jackson as my student of the month. Ki’Taylon has not only improved his behavior and attitude, but his grades as well. I am so proud of Ki’Taylon! Please keep up the great work and you will accomplish great things!

Mrs. Wischmann salutes Shaun Allen

Shaun Allen is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Wischmann’s class. Shaun is an extremely helpful student that any teacher would be lucky to have. He LOVES math and the first thing he does when he finishes his assignment is to help his classmates who are struggling. Shaun has an awesome sense of humor and is a very talented artist. I have no doubt that he will excel next year as a sixth grader!

MAY 2010 SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Mrs. Deevers salutes Jennifer Boyd

Jennifer Boyd is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Deevers’ class. The class feels that Jennifer deserves this award because she is a very responsible student who works very hard and always gets her work done correctly and on time. They feel that she gets along with all of her classmates, and that she is simply a nice person. Thanks Jennifer for being a shining example for all students of what a Peaceful, Accountable, and Well-behaved student looks like. It is truly has been a pleasure having you in my class. Congratulations and good luck next year!

Mrs. Dugan salutes Corey Serrano

Corey Serrano is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Dugan’s class. His classmates were polled and they described Corey as being smart with good grades while also being a great friend and leader. Along with being a superb helper around the classroom, they feel that he is funny and an awesome soccer player. Great job, Corey!

Mrs. Jones salutes Alex Smith

Alex Smith is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Jones’ class. Mrs. Jones’s students voted Alex Smith as student of the month because he gets his work done and always gives 100%. Alex helps other students with their work and is a good friend. His classmates also wrote that Alex is nice to everyone and never gets in trouble. Wow! I have to agree with his classmates that Alex is a wonderful young man. Congratulations.

Mrs. Newman salutes Alex Keller

Alex Keller is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Newman’s class. Bottom line…Alex is a fine young man. He is responsible in his actions and accepts responsibility for himself. Academically, Alex has NEVER turned in a late assignment and always studies ahead of time for tests. With these wonderful skills, Alex will be successful in 7th grade and all grades to come. I can’t wait to see what Alex becomes as he gets older! Congratulations Alex!

Mrs. Parker salutes Brooke Anderson

Brooke Anderson is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Parker’s class. Brooke Anderson is a joy to have in my class. She is smart, friendly, and fun to be around. I can always count on her to finish her work, help others, and help me. I know that she will accomplish anything she wants in life. Brooke is the best.

Mrs. Shaffer salutes Bailey Sheehan

Bailey Sheehan is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Shaffer’s class. Bailey is a fun guy to have in class: he has a sharp wit and great sense of humor. I also appreciate the effort and hard work that Bailey has put forth this year. He will have no trouble transitioning to CJHS next year. Keep up the great job, Bailey!

 

Mrs. Stevens salutes Jenna Johnson

Jenna Johnson is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Stevens’ class. Congratulations, Jenna Johnson! Jenna is an absolute pleasure to teach. She comes to school everyday with a can do attitude. She is a hard-worker and always tries her best. Jenna was a regular at Cub Club this year which goes to show how much effort she puts into her school work. Jenna can brighten up any room. She always has a smile on her face and her laugh is contagious! I will miss Jenna next year. I'm sure she will make a wonderful addition to CJHS.

Mrs. Valleroy salutes Kaylee Keesee

Kaylee Keesee is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Valleroy’s class. It is a pleasure to have Kaylee Keesee represent our class as student of the month. Kaylee has been a good student all year and makes sure that all of her work is done to the best of her ability. Her high quality work and effort has allowed her to make the honor roll and her AR goals this year. She has also been an excellent example of an all around well behaved student. Congratulations Kaylee.

Mrs. Wilson salutes Morgan Strong

Morgan Strong is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Wilson’s class. Morgan Strong is student of the month because she shows such maturity on a daily basis. She is the kind of student who strives to do her best work and never gives up. She is a hard-worker as well as a great all-around person. Congratulations Morgan!

Mrs. Yates salutes Jesse Fee

Jesse Fee is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Yates’ class. Jesse is a great young man and it has been a privilege to have him in my 6th grade class this year. Jesse stays busy!!!! He has made his AR goal every quarter and works hard in class. All the students agree that Jesse is kind and helpful; therefore, he has lots of friends. I will really miss Jess next year; but we all wish him well at Cape Central Jr. High!

Mrs. Young salutes Ednequa Dyson

Ednequa Dyson is the Student of the Month for Mrs. Young’s class. Giggles and smiles every day and a soft spoken spirit describe Ednequa. I see a joy in her that spreads to everyone around her. She is always working hard and trying to do her very best on her work and her behavior. She very seldom gets a strike and never disturbs other students with talking. Ednequa is always ready to give a hug or wish me a good evening as she leaves the room every day. I have enjoyed being her teacher and am so pleased to see her be our student of the month! You go girl!!!!!
