Our Acute Care area is designed to care for patients with a wide-range of medical problems arising from illness or injury.

Designed around an efficient center court concept that provides the staff with a full view of treatment areas, the Acute Care area includes 18 treatment bays and a major treatment room with full-body x-ray capabilities.

Dr. Michael Kolda is the medical director of our emergency services

Michael A. Kolda, M.D., is Medical Director of Southeast Missouri Hospital’s Emergency Services and the Chest Pain Center.

A member of Southeast’s Medical Staff since 1991 and Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, Dr. Kolda heads a staff of 10 fulltime Emergency physicians.
