Professional Credentials
Dr. Brown returned to Southeast Missouri
to join Cardiac & Vascular Surgeons. Originally
from Perryville, Missouri, he had been in private
practice in Kansas City, Missouri since 1996.
Dr. Brown earned a baccalaureate degree in biology
and a medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas
City through their combined Bachelor’s/Doctor
of Medicine six-year program. He completed his
general surgery internship and residency at the
University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center
in Tulsa. He then continued his training with
a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University
of Southern California before returning to Missouri
to practice medicine in his home state.
Dr. Brown holds board certification with the
American Board of Surgery and the American Board
of Thoracic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American
College of Surgeons and a member of the Missouri
State
Medical Association.
Personal Information
Together with his wife Twila, Dr. Brown and
their three daughters enjoy many
hobbies
including outdoor activities such as golfing,
boating, water skiing and snow skiing.
