Southeast Missouri Hospital is offering screenings for Stroke, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and Peripheral Vascular Disease. At the same time, you may also have an Osteoporosis Screening at some locations. Sign up for one or more of these screenings listed below to find out if you are at risk.
Stroke/Carotid Artery Screening Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Peripheral Vascular Disease Screening Screening fees: $40 each or $105 for all three. BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! To make an appointment, call the Vascular Diagnostic Specialists of Southeast Missouri Hospital. 573-331-7890 1-800-233-1504 These screenings will be performed by registered or certified vascular technologists, and test results will be reviewed by a physician with the Vascular Diagnostic Specialists. Osteoporosis test results will be given to you immediately. Payment can be made by phone with a major credit card when you call to make your appointment. We accept these major credit or debit cards. Heart Smart Screenings Tuesday 8-10 a.m. at HealthPoint Plaza in Cape Girardeau Wednesdays and Fridays 8-10 a.m. at HealthPoint Plaza in Jackson
Lipid profile screenings at $20 each (10 hour or overnight fasting necessary for total cholesterol breakdown), glucose screenings at $5 each (2 hour fasting recommended) and cholesterol screenings at $7.50 each are available on a walk-in basis from 8 - 10 a.m. at Southeast's HealthPoint Plaza in Jackson on Wednesdays and Fridays and at Southeast's HealthPoint Fitness in Cape, 2126 Independence, on Tuesdays.
Effective June 1, 2008 the following changes will be made in the HeartSmart Screenings. HeartSmart Screenings will be held on Tuesdays, 7-10 a.m. at HealthPoint Fitness - Cape 573-986-4400 Wednesdays 7-10 a.m. at HealthPoint Fitness - Jackson 573-243-2211 NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY! Glucose Screening $5.00 (requires a 2-hour fast) Lipid Profile $22.50 for a profile of your HDL, LDL and Triglyceride levels (requires a 10-hour fast) (We will no longer offer a simple cholesterol screening) Free blood pressure checks are available at HealthPoint Fitness in Jackson during regular hours as well as at the Generations Center at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
