Experienced physicians... Access to support services and staff... A clinical nursing staff with hyperbaric technician certification... Proven clinical pathways... Leading edge treatments... Aggressive medical and surgical management....These are the hallmarks of Southeast Missouri Hospital’s Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center.
Southeast’s Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine team works closely with physicians and patients in dealing with complex chronic wound care issues. Specialized services include an exam by a chronic wound care specialist, development of a treatment plan to meet each patient’s individual needs, dressing changes, instruction about correct wound care and prevention of new injuries and referrals for other medical care and services to help patients recover.
The Hospital operates four Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers. |
| HBOT complements care provided through our highly successful, long-established wound care program.
During Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy,
a patient breaths 100 percent oxygen in a chamber
pressurized to greater than sea level. This allows significantly more amounts of oxygen
to be dissolved in the bloodstream to improve
and accelerate the healing process.
