At Southeast Missouri Hospital's
MRImaging Center, the region is offered the latest
in magnetic resonance imaging with the Hospital's
powerful new Siemens MAGNETOM MR system.
Although MRI services have been available at
Southeast since 1987, the new system offers a
friendlier, more comfortable patient experience,
faster scan times, superior image quality and
diagnostic capabilities previously available only
in metropolitan medical centers. |

MRI is a very advanced medical
imaging technique which produces very clear pictures
or images of the human body. It provides an excellent
way to diagnose disease of the brain, spine, skeleton,
chest, abdomen, pelvis, blood vessels and organs
within the chest and abdomen, such as the heart,
liver, bladder and kidneys.
Southeast's MRI offers maximum patient comfort
and shorter exam times.

Magnet Design
The Siemens MAGNETOM has a flared chamber
and is just 5.3 feet long, allowing a patient
to have his head out of the magnet for many
procedures.
Soothing Environment:
The color and facade cover of the magnet
were specially designed to ease claustrophobic
anxiety |
|
Added Comforts:
Soothing lighting and flowing air inside the
magnet bore add to patient comfort. Patients may
listen to music while undergoing a scan and communicate
with the MRI technician via an audio system.
