| Southeast Missouri Hospital’s Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Center offers all the latest advancements in joint replacement care as well as a full range of inpatient and outpatient services for people with a variety of disorders involving locomotor structures of the body including bones, joints, and other supporting structures such as ligaments and cartilage. |
Orthopedic surgeons and specialists associated with Orthopaedic Associates of Southeast Missouri work closely with the medical, surgical and rehabilitation staffs at Southeast to provide appropriate and effective care for patients in need of orthopedic services.
Southeast’s 11-bed inpatient Orthopedics Unit is staffed by a team of nursing professionals who work solely with orthopedic patients and the Hospital’s Surgery Department includes a dedicated orthopedic surgery team.
More than 1,000 orthopedic surgical procedures take place at Southeast annually. |

Orthopedic rehabilitation services are provided on both an inpatient basis within the Hospital (physical therapy and occupational therapy) as well as in an outpatient setting through HealthPoint Rehabilitation in Cape Girardeau and Jackson.
Home health services are also available through Southeast Home Health and other in-home care services throughout the region.
Periodic community education programs on a variety of topics related to orthopedics are offered throughout the year, sponsored by the Generations Family Resource Center. |
