Southeast's SHARE develops its own symbol

As an extension of the SHARE support group, we at Southeast Missouri Hospital have developed our own symbol that we would like to share with you.

The rose symbolizes the new life of a baby.

The thorn on the stem of that rose represents the deep pain and sorrow felt when that baby dies.

The grapevine heart illustrates the many people entwined in grief over that loss.

The heart is broken as are the hearts of those who grieve.

Finally, the fallen petal symbolizes the life that has died as well as the memories of that special baby -- memories that will forever be deep within our hearts.

When someone comes into our lives ..

and they are too quietly and quickly gone,

they leave footprints on our hearts ...

and their memory stays with us forever.
