Many times, the course of cancer therapy lasts for a period of weeks.

Patients who live a minimum of 100 miles round trip from the Cape Girardeau area to the Regional Cancer Center may take advantage of Southeast's Guest House.

Patients may elect to stay alone, or they may bring one friend or family member with them.

When space allows, consideration for lodging also is given to family members of critically ill patients hospitalized at Southeast.

Located on the Hospital campus, the Guest House has three separate sleeping rooms. Each can accommodate up to two guests. The Guest House also features a common living area where guests may watch TV, read or play board games and a kitchen where snacks and light meals may be prepared.

There is a nominal charge per person per night for use of Guest House facilities.
