| When Steve and Leslie
Felter of Jackson learned that their family of
four would soon grow to become a family of five,
their joy was coupled with plenty of questions:
Would their third child be a boy or a girl? What
about a name? Would their new baby be as happy
and healthy as Stephanie and Landon, their first
two children?
One thing the Felters didn’t have to question
was the care they knew they would receive from
the staff at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
“All of our kids were born at Southeast,
and each birth was a wonderful experience,”
Steve said. “The staff made us feel so comfortable
and confident every time,” he added.

While the staff’s experience
and competence has been another constant for the
birth of each Felter baby, Steve and Leslie did
notice some changes for the birth of their third
child, Kendall.
“Southeast’s private LDRP birthing
rooms really exceeded what we expected,”
commented Leslie. “All the surroundings
were very comfortable…so much nicer than
even just a few years ago.”
The new LDRP suite and nursery area helped make
Kendall’s birth all the more special. “But
it was the staff that made the difference,”
she said. “They really treated us like family! |
