Southeast Missouri Hospital has
redesigned its birthing center with family comfort
and privacy in mind. The $4.3 million redesign
of our Dennis B. Elrod, M.D., Obstetrics &
Gynecology Center includes
- 15 new LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery and
postpartum) birthing suites (each with private
restroom and shower facilities)
- a new registration/reception area
- four new triage rooms
- two new nurseries with viewing areas
- new staffing areas

Each LDRP suite features:
- Central fetal monitoring
- TV/VCR and video library
- Individual climate control
- Complimentary toiletries
